I spent 3 years tryingto lose weight and get healthy. A friend recommended Ip and I cannot believe the results! I lost 20lbs in a little over a month! More importantly I have learned how to eat to maintain the support I have gotten from my coach has been amazing!
Starting Weight: 280lbs Height: 6'4" Current Weight: 215lbs What prompted you to begin your health & weight loss journey? I have been fighting with weight issues for years-literally since I was a child. I have had some successes over the years both with exercise programs and more conventional diets. Unfortunately the successes were never long term ones and I would gradually put the weight back on. As I got older I found it more diffcult to take the weight off or even to keep from putting on a little more weight every year. I had no major health issues, but a few minor ones and realized my weight put me at risk for more serious problems. For the last couple of years I have been thinking that I needed to try a different approach but I wasn't certain exactly what. That's when I learned about Ideal Protein from a friend who was involved in the program. He was about my same age and we were physically quite similar. His success with the IP, and the discussion of the IP approach convinced me to give it a try. Tell us about your own personal experience on Ideal Protein? Weight loss with IP was a gratifying experience. Seeing a significant weight loss each week probided the needed encouragement to stick to the IP Protocol the following wewewk. I found it surprising that I nevel felt starved or lacked energy, and havd very few cravings for the snack foods that used to be my favorites. I think a big part of that was having the multiple IP foods during the day and the large serving of protein as part of the evening meal. One big benefit of the weight loss for me is that I have been able to reduce the amount of anti-inflammatory, medication I was taking for arthritits in my knees. I had arthroscopic surgery in both knees 5 or 6 years ago. For the last year or so I found that I needed to take two Aleve a day on a good day and more on a bad day. Now I rarely need the Aleve at all. I have also been taking cholesterol lowering medication for the past few years. Just prior to starting IP my total cholesterol with the medication was 180, LDL was 116, HDL 41, and Triglycerides wer 117. I was just retested and saw improvements across the board. With the same medication total Cholesterol is down to 159, LDL down to 94 and Triglycerides down to 41. The good cholesterol HDL rose to 94. I'll be discontinuing the medication and retesting to see what the numbers are without it. How has your life changed since being on the Ideal Protein Protocol? I feel great- I mean really great. Physical tasks that used to wear me out are no obstacle to me these days. It is like being 10 to 20 years younger. There has been a real interesting change in the type of foods that I want to eat. It is more than just knowing that I should eat more proteins and less carbohydrates and fats. I don't seem to crave a lot of the foods that I used too. Baked goods and friend foods have always been hard for me to resist, but now my desire for them is much lowers. Why would you cecommend Ideal Protein? One of the most important aspects of IP is that the advertised weight loss rates are realistic and achievable. It is much easier for people to start a diet program and stick to the regiment when they can see positive results and a finish line that is months rather than years in the future. Another critical factor that is unfortunately hard to explain to the average person is the resetting of the pancreas. I am now a believer that it is an extremely important aspect that will help people achieve long term success. What did you enjoy the most about your Health Coach? The most important things were the positive attitude and the understanding that "life happens". On other programs the facilitators seemed more like teachers or judges rather than true allies. I also appreciated that you (Jeanne Bowes) always got back to me quickly with answers to my questions. What advice do you have for someone who needs to get healthy and lose weight, but is having a difficult time getting motivated to start? IP Program really works and it works quickly. I had very little hunger during the program which is hard for some to believe. It's also important for people to know that they don't have to give up their social life. With one "normal" meal a day it is possible to dine out at many quality restaurants.
I LOVE Ideal Protein. It really helped me not only to lose weight but to feel good about myself. Im in the military so I have to stay fit for my job and the program gave me the tools to do that. I had to stop earlier than planned due to fitness requirement at work but my coach, Jeanne, gave me some great tips to continue my weight loss while I train for my test. She also invited me back whenever I'd like. I'd definately recommend this program to anyone!
The diet works- I didn't realize how important it was to watch sugar and carbs and how they can be. It really works and I didn't think it would! The gluten free aspect of the food enabled me to stick with the diet and be meaningful.
I just wanted to express my thanks and appreciation for the wonderful treatment and care you all showed to me over the last 5 month of weight loss. A year ago November, I was 328 pounds and in constant pain. Previously on 2 occasions, I had broke my back, as well as a broken leg. I was under doctor care for high blood pressure, high cholesterol, acid reflex, sleep apnea as well as pain from injuries. Exercising my weight away was not an option. A friend told me about your clinic and the Ideal Protein Program. Nervous and skeptical of another “die scam”, I went to your presentation of the Ideal Protein Program, only to have all my apprehensions taken away. I began the program on July 1, 2010 weighing in at 318 pounds. Your staff demonstrated total commitment in caring for me from day one and also gave me the support and encouragement I needed to continue on the road to a healthier me. Over the last 2 months, I have been taken off of my high cholesterol, acid reflex and 2 types of high blood pressure meds. I have also been able to discontinue the use of my c-pap machine at night and my pain level has decreased. Today, I weight 221 pounds. 97 pounds gone in 5 months! The Ideal Protein Program works and was simple to follow, even while owing a busy service compay. Meals are tasty and fulfilling, much to my surprise. Merging dinners with the family was also easier than my wife thought it would be. I am still on the program, but now I am healthy enough to go to the gym two to three times a week, play actively with my girls and have more quality time with my wife. I feel great and have more energy to live an active life. This program has meant so much to me and my family. Without your personal help and the Ideal Protein Program, this feat would not have been possible so you can imagine how grateful I am. Thank you all once again for all your care and support.
I am 63 years old. Since I have been 5 years old I have been chunky. I married in to a family of “big eaters”, whose first words learned were “Manga Mahn-ja” (eat, eat). I enjoyed the feasts and the delicious food and packed on the weight. I kept my baby fat my whole life and developed onset diabetes about the same time I received my AARP’s membership. Nice way to face the Golden Years. I am taking medication for diabetes and high blood pressure. My numbers keep going up and my meds have been doubled on both conditions. In the last couple years I have become serious exercise – walking about 45 to 60 minutes a day. I had to cut back on my exercise because I work a physically taxing job. The scale reflected more weight gain. I was very discouraged. When I learned about a weight loss plan that was designed to reset the pancreas and improve overall health and change then numbers on the scale, I signed up. After the first week I noticed my blood sugars level was drastically reduced ( 189 to 93). My blood pressure has improved and registers a normal readying. I am still on medication. This is the third week of following the Ideal Protein weight loss plan. My goals is to return to my doctor for my 3 month check up and see a significant improvement in my blood sugar level and the scale reflecting a healthier weight. The two aspects I like best about the nutrition plan is one, I don’t feel hungry and two, I am not stressed out trying to decide “what to eat”. I certainly hope this will be a permanent improvement in my health. I work at this one day at a time. Now I’m appreciating great weight loss without exhausting myself exercising before and after work.
The Ideal Protein Program has been ideal for me. I needed a program that would provide me with portion control and high quality-no processed-food. I found the protocol gave me quick results. I lost body fat and inches very quickly – 15 pounds in 30 days. I always felt satisfied. The coaching and individual attention is very supportive and caring.
The reason I decided to pursue weight loss and live a healthy lifestyle was because I wanted to feel good and look great at my wedding as well as be healthy and fit when we start our family. I was very unhealthy and self-conscious for 5 years. I kept trying to lose weight other ways, but nothing really worked. The thought of being disappointed and upset at my wedding photos was a huge motivation to try something new. What I liked about the weight loss program with New Life Health & Wellness was that it worked and it continues to work. The Ideal Protein weight loss plan is easy in the sense that it is all planned out for you. You do not have to think about what to do or what to eat. YOU JUST DO IT!! I love the feeling of accomplishment each week when I step on the scale and see that I’ve lost 2 -4 pounds. It is such a motivation each week to stay the course and know that I will be successful. I just wish I had started the program sooner. My life has changed since I have been on the program. I FEEL BETTER!! Not just physically, but mentally. I am so proud and encouraged by my progress. I know that I am changing my health. It feels great to be pro-active about my future. My body feels better, I am not so sore all the time and I feel better in my skin. May advice to anyone that has a desire to lose weight and pursue a healthy life style, but is having problems with finding motivation is JUST TRY IT!!! You will succeed. It is not easy and it takes a desire to really want to be healthy, but it is so worth it! Don’t let anyone discourage you. There are so many temptations but you will never feel better about yourself if you don’t try it. Don’t make excuses. THIS IS YOUR LIFE!!
Hello, my name is Gail and I am a carbohydrate junkie. I don't really like sugar but I love noodles, potatoes and bread. I am also an emotional eater. This program was made for me. I went through a long illness and let myself get depressed and used food as a comfort. One day I woke up and found I had gained 50 pounds and realized that this was adding to my depression and it was time to take action. I met a mother and daughter team who had used the Health and Wellness Clinic at Barkley Chiropractic. They had both lost a lot of weight and encouraged me to go to a Tuesday night informational meeting; this meeting prompted me to start my weight loss journey. I was sold on the healthy idea of high protein. What I liked most about the program was the necessity to attend the clinic once a week and the fact that results were quick. Quick results kept me motivated. The weekly visits kept me on target and let me ask my coach, Janeen questions. She also gave me handouts with recipes and diet and health information. I was on the program for four months when I reached my goal. I will be on maintenance forever; but the program has shown me how to balance my calories and carbohydrates so that I can lead a thin, happy life. Ask yourself, "Is it pleasure for the moment or Happiness for a Lifetime?" My best tip for you is to DOI IT NOW! You won't regret it.
